BREAKING – Katie Holmes has given birth

Less than one hour ago, people.com posted a report claiming that Katie Holmes has given birth. No other details are yet available. It is not known if husband Tom Cruise was at her side. Also unclear is the sex of the child and where Holmes gave birth. Presumably the child was born in Los Angeles, since yesterday reports came out claiming that Cruise had spent over 250,000 dollars to create a delivery room in the home the two share in Beverly Hills, and both were seen here yesterday. update – ABC News is saying that the couple is now the parents of a little girl named Suri.


fancy new update – MSN has a few more details, mainly that mother and daughter appear to be fine. Suri weighs 7 pounds, 7 inches and is 20 inches long. The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose.” Her name is also how people pronounce “Syracuse” after they’ve been to the dentist.
