Gwen Stefani is a mom

Gwen Stefani gave birth to a boy named Kingston James McGregor Rossdale late Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Both mother and child are doing well. It’s the first child for Stefani, 36, the second for Gavin Rossdale, 40, her husband of three years. In 2004, Rossdale found out that he has a 16-year-old daughter with an ex-girlfriend. On Saturday, Rossdale said,

“Gwen’s doing great! She looks amazing and she’s doing real good. It’s great! I love it!”

So between this and Angelina Joile, it was obviously a big weekend for celebrity babies, but you have to give the edge to young Kingston. Mom and dad are just as rich and only slightly less pretty, and at least he didn’t come home wrapped in an old Alf t-shirt. I’m sure Namibia (where Jolie gave birth) is charming, but they’re not exactly up to speed. I saw a news report from there once, and I swear to God there was a pterodactyl in the background.
