11.21.2006 WILL SMITHS KIDS WILL BE EXPERTS ON…

Summertime. And things parents don’t understand.  But not so much history.

Will Smith says he and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are home schooling their kids because he doesn't trust a school to give them the education they really need.  Smith says:

“The date of the Boston Tea Party does not matter.  I know how to learn anything I want to learn. I absolutely know that I could learn how to fly the space shuttle because someone else knows how to fly it, and they put it in a book.  Give me the book, and I do not need somebody to stand up in front of the class.”

I don't know how to break this to Will Smith, but just because you read something that was written down doesn't make you an expert.  It doesn't prepare you for real life.  Trust me.  For example, if you show up in a robe and glasses and point your wand at those bullies who took my hat and then say "Avada Kedavra", the only result is a massive beating.  And even if you read "Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood" three times, your heart won't ache any less after you join a dig for an ancient city on the coast of Turkey and discover that your archaeology professor is available in every way except one.

who is the black guy in the background noticably swooning over will? in pic 4 he’s totally checking out his ass. he’s carrying a mic but i think that’s just a cover. he’s will’s secret lover. busted.

So if Jada or one of the kids needs life saving surgery, I guess we can expect the Fresh Prince to do the procedure? Hey, pal, all you need to know is in a couple of books.

The black guy in the background is Jon Kelly of Extra!

well he’s totally staring will down like he wants to sop him up with a biscuit. hmmmm. makes you wonder.

Hmmm, I thought reading books made you more educated. Home schooling can include how evil Lord Xenu used nuclear bombs and volcanos to kill billions of people, creating the modern Theatan problem we all have to try and overcome today. Stick that in your history book and smoke it!

  6. WilliamtheBloody 11/21/2006 15:35

I’d be curious to find out exactly what education he thinks they really need.

  7. WilliamtheBloody 11/21/2006 15:35

    Oh wait, no I wouldn’t. F him.

He did get a full scholarship to MIT

These fucking idiots have never attended a real school nor do they have any idea what the word “education” means. And I can assure you that Will and Jada will not be educating their children. Most celebrities are borderline retarded and have gotten where they are due to good looks, blowing the right people, being related to the right people and/or just being lucky. “Home schooling” for Will and Jada means paying the Yale physics professor $20,000/month + expenses while he’s on his “sabbatical.”

will smith was MIT bound, i’d say he’s smart enough

Hey, Will. Be sure to check out my latest book entitled, “How to Kill Yourself in Thirty Seconds and Bequeath All Your Worldly Belongings to Ass Tagger.” On sale now at your local Barnes & Noble.

I like them and all, but this sounds like a good time to say That’s Retarded. :-D

Jezus, what the fuck do these hollywood people think they are? I bet my ass if he read a book he couldn’t even fly a Cesna in microsoft’s flight simulator. His fucking kids will just end up retarded, hell Paris Hilton will seem like Noam Chomsky to them.

In Will Smith’s defence, he did fly that alien space ship in Independence Day and he didn’t even know how to do that. And, he flew it in outer space even though he had not been trained to do that in the military. So, yeah, Will Smith is a fucking moron.

Even you, WWTDD, cannot make me not like Will Smith.

Who the fuck cares if he was going to go to MIT? Did he graduate from MIT? No. Did he even GO to MIT? No.

So sorry. Just because someone was planning on going to MIT once upon a time doesn’t mean they can fly the fucking space shuttle because they read about it in a book.

  17. T-bird 11/21/2006 16:21

hey, he chose not to attend and still ended up a successful person. how many people can say that they even received an offer from MIT much less a scholarship? he’s obviously smart but i don’t think he can fly a spaceship. it’s that scientology in him coming out. oh no….is he going to go all wacko now like Tom Cruise?

  18. Kiralyhne 11/21/2006 16:22

Hm, well just because he could have gone to MIT certainly doesn’t qualify him to fly the space shuttle or anything of the sort. I’m quite sure the people who actually do fly the space shuttle are not able to do so because they read it in a book somewhere. Hopefully his kids in their exile will also learn to develop socially and become well adjusted among their piers… unless they’d prefer them to be antisocial lemmings like the rest of Hollywood.

I hate to seem as if I’m sticking up for a man who cursed our society with some truly horrible pop-rap songs, but he has a point, even if it was expressed somewhat poorly. But I’ve been saying the same fucking thing for years–it’s much more important to know how to find the information you need rather than have your mind stuffed with precise dates in history (for example) which you will probably forget soon after the test.

After about 3 seconds of research, it seems that MIT stuff is about 3/4 Urban Legend. He himself said he never applied to the place in an interview with Wired magazine.
