NBC political reporter Tim Russert died today of a heart attack while at work. He was just 58. MSNBC says…
Russert was recording voiceovers for Sunday’s “Meet the Press” program when he collapsed, the network said.
He had recently returned from Italy, where his family was celebrating the graduation of Russert’s son, Luke, from Boston College.
No further details were immediately available.
Russert was best known as host of “Meet the Press,” which he took over in December 1991. Now in its 60th year, “Meet the Press” is the longest-running program in the history of television.
In 2008, Time Magazine named Russert him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
This isn’t really relevant but is there only one Mexican song, because I swear to god every time I drive by a Mexican guy they're playing the same song.
So sad. Tim Russert was one of the good guys. Unbiased and passionate. Meet the Press will not be the same.

They are spanish language cd's.
It serves 2 purposes.
1. I learn a little spanish
2. It seems to make the natives happy.

Seriously though, this is shocking news. He was highly reliable and respectable. His perspectives were based in fact when so many others weren't.
Poor guy. Seemed like a nice and jovial - "jolly" if you will person.
I don't think it helped his case though that he was always as red faced as that picture above. It's like someone screwed up the gamma settings on his face.
I think he was an ignorant, non-independent-thinking asshole and I personally am celebrating this one. Too bad his death doesn't mean the vapid pundit hole he left behind won't be filled by another blowhard.
