A decision has been reached in regards to whether or not Kanye West should be charged and prosecuted for attacking a paparazzi at LAX, grabbing a camera worth several thousand dollars and smashing it on the ground. Keep in mind, this is someone famous, and they were in LA. Okay now try and guess what the decision is.
We've learned the L.A. County D.A. has decided not to file felony charges against Kanye West and his bodyguard for the attack at LAX earlier this month.
The case has been sent to the L.A. City Attorney for possible misdemeanor prosecution. No decision yet.
Of course. Of course he won't be charged with a crime. Why would he be? Other than the fact he committed one, and it was all recorded, and he says his name and, twice, he says, "I took it" after he takes the guys camera. He confesses, while the crime is happening, and the DA is not moving forward with charges. Now keep in mind I'm not a classically trained lawyer, so maybe I'm just being naive, but I was under the impression that prosecutors prosecuted crime. I may be mistaken. One of us is. Clearly one of doesn’t understand what it is a prosecutor does.
