15 months in jail

January 16, 2009 | celebrity | editor | 0 Comments

In April of 2008, a Dutch male model named Audun Carlsen filed charges against 80's pop icon Boy George.  Carlsen claimed George handcuffed him to a wall and beat him with a chain after a fight following a naked photo shoot.  That, as it turns out, is illegal.  You can’t handcuff naked models to a wall, regardless of how sexy it may sound.   So of course last month he was found guilty, because he did it, and today he was sentenced to 15 months in jail.  The Sun says…

Sentencing the musician Judge David Radford told the singer – real name George O'Dowd – that he was guilty of “gratuitous violence”.Blank-faced O’Dowd glanced briefly at family members in the public gallery, who gasped as his jail term was read out.Passing sentence, Judge Radford said: “In my view there can be no doubt that your premeditated callous and humiliating handcuffing and detention of Mr Carlsen shocked, degraded and traumatised him.“He was deprived of his liberty and human dignity without warning or proper explanation to him of its purpose, length or purported justification.“You assaulted the victim of this offence whom you had invited into your home by handcuffing him to your bed and inflicting on him additional wholly gratuitous violence beyond that needed merely to secure physical restraint and detention.”Mr Carlsen, a 29-year-old Norwegian, fled in his underpants and alerted police after the attack in April 2007.

What a sexy trial.  Granted it would have been hotter had it been a naked girl model, but of course that would have had disaster written all over it.  People get all PC when you rub your crotch and moan in court during testimony.  What is the world coming too when you can’t even masturbate at an assault trial without everyone freaking out on you?
