It's been six years since the Last Tomb raider movie, because no one liked those movies and no one wanted to see any more.  The idea (side-boob plus archeology) was so dumb it shouldn’t have even been a game, much less a movie, much less two movies, but this is Hollywood, so of course we're gonna get a new movie anyway.  The Hollywood Reporter says…

The new project, however, is expected to revamp the character and her mission and bear little resemblance to the original pictures. It will reimagine the origins of the character, her love interest and the main villain.As an open-writing assignment, the project is still in its nascent stages. An actress who could play the role Angelina Jolie made famous would likely come on after a writer and director are attached.

E! says Megan Fox has emerged as the most likely candidate to play Lara Croft next, and that makes sense, because she's a popular actress whom most people can easily name when asked dumb questions like who should play Lara Croft next.
