06.08.2009 Brett Michaels almost died

I’m sure there was a perfectly logical reason for Poison to perform entertain be on stage at the Tony awards last night, but I could live a hundred years and never guess what that might have been. They sang a number they call “Don’t Need Nothing” and then (*wink*) they add “But A Good Time” in parenthethes. After that the stage dropped on Brett Michael’s head, a number the audience called, “The Most Awesome Thing We’ve Ever Seen Here”.

The end of that video is so sweet, I think I just got diabetes.

I never liked Poison, but I owned a record store back in the late 80’s and that shit sold a fuckin’ TON. Cinderella, too. I’d play that shit all day as long as somebody was buying.

That’s awesome Tony. I’m marveled that you discovered them. I went to high school with half of the band members, and usually hang out with them all about 2-3 times a month. They are the biggest local metal band in my area.

The quality on this video is so much better:

by all means, judge away…if i gave a shit about what people think of me, i might actually be embarrassed by some of the shit i used to listen to.

i will say, however….that i’m not still hanging on to the shreds of my youth by chasing NKOTB like my sister-in-law, god love her.

“i’m not still hanging on to the shreds of my youth by chasing NKOTB like my sister-in-law”

Given their age, NKOTB may now be easier for sis-in-law to catch…

Zombie, I am always on the look out for new metal to listen to.

We have some house frau’s here that went to the NKOTB show. These chicks shelled out money to see these goofy bastards just because they ‘used’ to like them. They paid to see some silly 35 year old faga dance and sing ‘The Right Stuff’.

dude, you have no idea…my sis in law dropped stupid money for some VIP package bullshit to go see them next month. she is involved in countless chat rooms and twitter crap revolving around them. i’m embarrassed *for* her. i didn’t even like them the first time around.

I’ve never experienced boy band hysteria but have a friend who sounds like your sister-in-law.

    NKOTB….

Dorchester rats always loved the Cougars….

Fucking A, me too man. Broadslab is badass live, they played the Marijuana March in downtown Raleigh last year and covered a heavy version of The Allman Brother’s “Whipping Post” that lasted over 20 minutes long.. mostly just dueling solos.

Where are you from again Tony?

  15. Observer 06/08/2009 08:55

    Bella….

…are you an XX chromosome female?

  16. Bella 06/08/2009 08:56

Yep, but, you’d never know it by my musical taste…

  17. Observer 06/08/2009 08:58

    Bella….

    …what are your musical tastes?

….I believe that I once slept with NSync in Denver.

Obs, was that you? I thought I saw a red eyed baby being plowed on that tape!

  19. Observer 06/08/2009 09:00

    Jean-Claude…..

I’t difficult for me to say for sure……I was not so good with band names in the nineties….

I am listening to Kings of Leon at the moment but I like rock in all forms, heavy metal, alternative, classic, basically anything but country.
