Then it sends you a link to click.
When you click this link, it causes the site to send a new email to you, and this one will have your new password.
There may be a delay in email receipt.
Perhaps a nice little graphic detailing the stages of the password recovery process would be nice, with a little indicator of which part of the recovery process a user is in would be nice.
Or maybe even a little flash movie that shows how to recover a password.
