I guess I should have narrowed it down to strarring role actor-comedians. Ron White and Lewis Black I don’t consider in that category although they are damn funny. Knight is not a fan of Will Ferrell and I was wondering who he liked that fell into a similar category. I like Will Ferrell a lot and I think the guy has come up with some brilliant stuff. I do however get that a lot of his schtick gets similar and yes gets stupid at times but look at Airplane The Naked Gun, Strange Brew and stuff like that. All “stupid” humor but funny shit.

I agree Rusty, Will Farrel is a funny dude. I think he’s not really living up to his potential as an actor. He seems like he’s so freakin’ talented but everyone just wants to see him as a clown. I imagine it gets on his nerves.

Sam Kinison is the funniest son of a bitch I’ve ever seen. I really like Jeffery Ross too (although Lewis Black is great as well). There isn’t anybody making comedies right now that I really like (except for maybe Rogen). The funniest movies over the last few years have been about the writers, not the famous comedians they stuck in front of the camera to save the movie. I think the days of a comedian just carrying a mediocre movie are over. But Ferrell is just lame. Everything after Elf and Ron Burgandy has been terrible (and virtually the same character over and over).
The only Will Ferrel films I like are Anchorman and Stranger Than Fiction
I’ve never seen a whole movie with Ferrell in it. I thought his SNL stuff was lame and what I’ve seen of his films has been lame, too. Mike Myers has been pretty funny at times, and Stiller is consistent, even though he often plays the same role.
