Forget Lil Wayne, What’s Wrong With Tone Loc?

We’ve all heard that Lil Wayne is sick, but did you know that infinitely better rapper Tone Loc is also sick? The great Tone collapsed onstage from an apparent seizure about the same time as Lil Wayne. Like LW, the cause has not been disclosed. I’m not sure why God seems to be striking rappers down with “the falling sickness”, but if I were Snoop Panther, (Lion? Tiger? Gerbil? Whatever he is this week), I’d watch out. The reason it pisses me off that Wheezy is getting all the press is that he…well…sucks. He sounds like a million other mediocre rappers with stupid face tattoos. But Tone Loc was a true original. He brought the phrase “Doing the wild thing” forever into the English language. In 20 years no one will remember Lil Wayne, but drunk college kids will still be fist pumping to Funky Cold Medina.
