Jason Collins’ Ex Had No Clue He Was Gay

After Jason Collins came out in an interview with Sports Illustrated this week, it was only a matter of time before an ex or two came forward to play either the “I had no idea” or “I always knew something was fishy” cards. Former WNBA player Carolyn Moos is the first and probably most prominent, because she dated Collins for seven years and was engaged to him before he suddenly broke it off in 2009.

Needless to say, she’s a little shocked.

“It’s very emotional for me as a woman to have invested 8 years in my dream to have a husband, soul mate, and best friend in him. So this is all hard to understand.” (TMZ)

But she wishes Collins nothing but happiness, and she’s long since found another man to make her happy. In fact, right after she spoke to TMZ, they went shopping for new outfits before they hit the club and danced so much that he was too tired to have sex.
