Melissa McCarthy is pissed. Actually, she might not even give a crap, but her fatty apologists are pissed that some studio marketing department ordered a Photoshop fat reduction on the face of Melissa McCarthy in these U.K. one sheets for her new film. This time, I have to side with the undulating BBW mob. Funny people are supposed to be fat. I want my yucks coming from a round person whose honed their jolliness off a lifetime of being made to feel like a third class citizen. Skinny people aren’t funny. They’re bitter for the wrong reasons. They got molested or they were unloved or other such bullshit. But they still got to go to the prom. Only fat people get the shiv from everybody in society. And they turn it into mirth. Then they die young. Why would you ever want to taint that?
