Here’s how institutional scandals always work. Some reasonably reliable media outlet announces they have dozens of witnesses in a multi-year investigation that they’re going to print with knowing full well if they’re not thorough in their sourcing and fact checking they will be sued for an untold fortune of dollars. Then, the other side finds some dupe to say they were there and they saw nothing. That’d be former Orange Pride member Julie Longan, who says the booster girls were on the up and up and the head coach and AD never told them to spread their school spirited legs for top recruits. On the contrary, they were expected to maintain themselves with the highest of moral virtue. You might be tempted to believe in the piles and piles of witness testimony and evidence, but that giant crucifix Julie’s got behind her confirms that Julie must be telling the truth. Of course, there is the off-chance the clever folks running the booster girl fluffer ring didn’t tell every single co-ed in the program what they were doing. You know, maybe they decided not to share their nefarious plans with the preachy girl with the ginormous crucifix. Just in case.
