If you want to piss off the logical side of your brain, read the drivel that major sports outlets publish these days on women's sports. It's opinion wrapped in omitted facts supported entirely by a desire to be politically correct. Men's tennis player Novak Djokovic fucked up this week when he mentioned that men should maybe get paid more than women in the sport since the men's sport brings in more revenue via tickets and audience. It's the same argument Pearl Jam would make upon being told they'd be paid the same as a Pearl Jam cover band at Buffalo Wild Wings. We're filling Staples at $150 a head.
"I think that our men's tennis world, ATP world, should fight for more because the stats are showing that we have much more spectators on the men's tennis matches. I think that's one of the reasons why maybe we should get awarded more. Women should fight for what they think they deserve and we should fight for what we think we deserve."
English isn't even his first language and that seems pretty damn basic. The sports media world went into a tizzy. Not because that isn't totally and obviously true, but because it defies the government enforced modern belief that women's sports are equal to men's sports. The march was on to locate Serena Williams to provide the big comeback quote. They found her power squatting twelve Jet-Skis as part of a strong man competition in Albania.
Novak is entitled to his opinion but if he has a daughter — I think he has a son right now — he should talk to her and tell her how his son deserves more money because he is a boy.
FoxSports deemed this "the perfect shutdown" by Serena. Why? Because it's entirely emotionally driven and makes absolutely no objective sense. Djokovic said people who earn the company more money should be paid more. He made special note that others should fight for what they feel they deserve. Isn't that a lesson to teach your daughter? Earn shit instead of demanding shit? Will that make her grow up to be less of a woman? Isn't that exactly what the Williams sisters did? Power-guzzling roids during all-night training sessions at six years of age in run down parts of town?
Djokovic readily posted a fake apology letter for being honest and accurate and sensible. This world is going down the shitter. It began when we started pretending tennis and golf were real sports.
