Kate Beckinsale Was Body Shamed First

June 2, 2016 | celebrity | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

Before social media even gave speaking truth to power an absolutely convoluted meaning, Kate Beckinsale was being called not skinny enough by Michael Bay during casting for Pearl Harbor. That shitty movie lasted longer than the actual sinister Japanese attack on the U.S. Pacific fleet. Every actress needs a body shaming story to gain password access to the giant Hollywood tampon dispenser.

“I’d just had my daughter and had lost weight, but was told that if I got the part, I’d have to work out. And I just didn’t understand why a 1940s nurse would do that.

1940’s nurses didn’t work out. They probably tended to be on the flabby side. They didn’t get paid a million bucks for eight weeks work on location in Hawaii. They emptied bed pans for military wounded for the love of country.

Michael Bay wants hot skinny chicks in his movie to sell tickets. If he’d made Schindler’s List, he would’ve used anorexic Polish supermodels. Beckinsale claims that during promotional events, Bay kept mentioning how he cast Beckinsale because she wasn’t so attractive as to alienate a female audience. Beckinsale is an obvious beauty queen so clearly this has to do with Bay being pissed he couldn’t fuck her. He’s immature. You’re not the least bit threatened about your looks and now you’re rich and famous. If you had a chance to do it all over again would you turn down the big gig? Precisely. Reach deeper. You’ve got more than this.
