University of Houston Has The New Autocracy Down Cold

Any story involving school student councils must be prefaced with the fact that no greater group of self-important losers has ever been assembled at any time than every student council ever. That being said, there are shades of idiotic grey. University of Houston student body Vice President Rohini Sethi was suspended from her position because on the night of the Dallas cop shootings she Facebooked the message, Forget #BlackLivesMatter, more like #AllLivesMatter. The University of Houston student government leapt into action, voted themselves several authorities they didn’t previously hold, and suspended Sethi from her position. She’s being forced into a three-day diversity workshop, mandatory attendance at three multi-cultural events per month, and had to pen an apology where she laid out the incorrectness of her thoughts prior to re-training. So, ISIS-inspired.

Rohini is of Pakistani origin with darker skin so in their story about the blowup at University of Houston, the Washington Post used a photo of the student body President who is stark white. It’s not a journalistic cheat if it advances a righteous social message. That same President wrote a long and tortured mea culpa on behalf of white people, extolling the Black Lives Matter argument, and insisting that punishing Sethi was in the due course of expanding honest and open debate. Horrible autocrats used to have some self-awareness. Though I might just be overly fondly remembering Fascists of the past.

At some point, reading 1984 in high schools will be replaced by Micro-Aggressions and Reparation, a tutorial in super apologies complete with a glossary of acceptable terminology and behavior. Only ten percent of the general population buys into this shit. Or one hundred percent of student councils. But they are a fucking vocal and catered to ten percent in positions of state and school and media authority.

Social and civil progress is never achieved through stupidity or censorship. Let alone workshops. Nobody follows the lead of assholes. I wish MLK Jr. were still alive to say all this more profoundly then fuck all your women. The path of the righteous is littered with spent condoms.
