Jaden Smith Non Gender Conforming Fashion Line Seems Indulgent

September 6, 2016 | celebrity | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

More disconcerting than Jaden Smith launching a line of skirts for boys and boy clothes for girls is his continued use of describing himself in the third person. Of his new gender non-conforming fashion line, Smith promises:

If someone at your school’s trying to pick on you, it doesn’t matter because Jaden Smith’s got your back.

Thanks, Bob Dole. I mean, hermaphroditic white young Bob Dole without the heroic service record or anything resembling an achievement.

The clothing line is called MSFTS which is misfits without the “i’s” because there’s no “i” in the word team. That cliche locker room blather seems cheap against Smith’s more enlightened philosophical background. A unique way of looking at the world Smith claims he knew would make him a martyr, even as an infant:

I always knew no one was going to understand me — since before I could talk — and that’s why I was so quiet. I was very calm, very to myself. I could tell I felt about life differently than other kids; I could tell by the way they treated me.

That’s a nice spin on learning disabled. Also an oft recycled bit of special snowflake lore popular among celebrities with an excessive amount of crystals prominently on display in their home and office.

Smith caps off his clothing line inspirational by describing his go-to source of strength as “me”. That would sound kind of bad-ass screamed into a microphone by John Cena. Less so when farted out by a hundred and twenty pound unemployed poet and cross-dressing clothing designer with a fat trust fund. It’s impossible to take in the ramblings of Jaden Smith for any period of time without feeling the urge to punch both of his parents. Aim for the indulgent parts.
