Kesha Keeps It Going

It’s pretty obvious Dr Luke never raped Kesha but now she’s saying in a New York Times profile that he used to criticize her weight in front of people. That seems entirely plausible. Nobody ever said he was the Dahlia Lama, but being a total douche still doesn’t make you a rapist although there is a provision on the ballot. Luke has denied this, and since Kesha is a proven liar and he is not, he should get the benefit of the doubt. It’s unclear why he doesn’t set the record straight via shitty magazine puff piece. The court of public opinion may rule in her favor, but they’re not the ones who throw out bogus lawsuits. Kesha’s emo shit seems roughly as transparent as her false rape accusation:

“My heart has a giant hole in it and is literally aching and throbbing from sadness and loss. imagine someone owning your voice… and not letting you sing. singing is how I have dealt with everything in my life. and my right has been taken away.”

Actually no. Not even close. You can still sing. And record music. And release it. You just haven’t done any of those things. Not to mention your music totally blows. That was partially Dr Luke’s doing, as Kesha claims he made it even worse. Clearly she was working on some Freddy Mercury caliber shit and he took the soul out of it by making it palatable to the masses:

“I remember specifically him saying: ‘Make it more dumb. Make it more stupid. Make it more simple, just dumb.'”

He certainly succeeded. He probably also sought out the dumbest artists possible too. If you had a problem with it you could have always learned an instrument or made your own beats or refused to alter the lyrics or released the music yourself. Or worked with a different producer. But you did none of those things, all of which require considerably more effort than filing lawsuits, lying, and writing bullshit sympathy trolling lamentations on Instagram. Luckily judges don’t read Instagram. Enjoy being a professional victim while you can, it’s all going away soon.
