It’s unclear if coming out as straight is entirely necessary or reflective of any accuracy. The very act seems inherently gay. Has John Travolta come forward yet? Jack Falahee plays a gay character on How to Get Away with Murder which is watched by dozens of aspiring serial killers. He’s also a big time Hillary supporter. After she lost her final election he decided to clarify his sexual preferences:
“While I’m not gay, on HTGAWM I play a character who’s in an interracial relationship with an HIV positive man. In the past I’ve declined to discuss my own sexuality in an attempt to try and dismantle the closet. Opponents to my ambiguous answers to questions surrounding my sexuality argued the importance of visibility. Ultimately, I think that my stance has been unhelpful in the fight for equality. I feel that I’ve sacrificed my ability to support the community for a more theoretical discussion about sexuality. Now more than ever, I want to offer my support to the community as an ally.”
Surely you must realize nobody gives a shit. Isn’t this also kind of a Prove It scenario? What a terrible blowhard. Unless you’re a gay person fearing some sort of retaliation, being ambiguous about your sexuality is unbelievably annoying. James Franco’s constantly toeing the line. From now on we’ll just assume anyone who talks about it a lot is a gay guy. Being coy about whether or not you blow guys simply isn’t the behavior of a straight male. What a stunning development. The female population is celebrating. West Hollywood to burn.
