Ben Affleck Can’t Win

December 14, 2016 | celebrity | matt-ralston | 0 Comments

Ben Affleck revealed he took the part in the universally panned Batman vs Superman to redeem himself for his performance in the slightly less universally panned Daredevil. Are you even reading these scripts dude? Sometimes when you suck at gambling you should just do the opposite of your first instinct. For example, Batman is a rich guy with a lot of gadgets. Superman can literally rotate the earth with one arm. He’s probably going to win. Daredevil is a blind lawyer who lives in Hell’s Kitchen. You can toss that one in the trash next to your empty jug of bourbon:

“I hated Daredevil so much. Part of it was I wanted for once to get one of these movies and do it right – to do a good version. It frustrated me. The Netflix show does really cool stuff. I feel like that was there for us to do with that character, and we never kind of got it right. I wanted to do one of those movies and sort of get it right.”

Before you throw everyone associated with Daredevil under the bus, realize it was a better movie. Are you reading fan letters from disabled six year olds in China and taking them to heart? You should have been able to tell Batman vs Superman sucked based on the title alone. Failing that, they asked you to be in it. Some guys put up big numbers on losing teams. Pull your head out of your ass, you’ve sullied the good name of Daredevil.
