Kathy Griffin Lifeless Apology (VIDEO)

May 31, 2017 | celebrity | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

After Kathy Griffin’s decapitated Trump head photo leaked on TMZ, everybody immediately turned to CNN for their reaction. It’s the only place people can think of where Griffin still works. The news network might be a key member of the butt hurt resistance, but they understand war time atrocities and how they reflect on corporate profits. Even Anderson Cooper was forced to lambaste the Griffin gag as disgusting. He may be the one wealthy gay man in Manhattan who can’t stand Kathy Griffin, but he’s the one who has to kiss her on New Year’s Eve.

With her one annual gig left in peril, Griffin took to Twitter looking like The Problem Child five years post-mortem for a rote and monotone apology.

“I sincerely apologize. I am just now seeing the reaction of these images. I crossed the line, I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. I get it.”

Or the opposite of everything she appeared to be endorsing as hilarious and deserving in the behind the scenes video clip. So as authentic as a linebacker wearing pastel socks one October Sunday to help end domestic abuse. Since the people Griffin intended the bloody Trump photos for aren’t likely to find the sentiment offensive, consider the mea culpa is largely aimed at a career save. There’s something classically tragic about going through those motions.

Updated: Griffin apparently did have another gig. Promoting Squatty Potty. She was shit-canned. Also, fired from CNN NYE. More time for drunken Lemon.
