Aly Raisman Survives Yet Another Body Comment (VIDEO)

Aly Raisman was at the NHL Awards which apparently exist and occur on a Wednesday night in late June when no sports are on presenting an award alongside hockey legend, Marcel Dionne. Dionne is the old guy with the Frenchie accent. He’s perfect for the role. Unclear why Aly Raisman was presenting.

The two were cue card reading some horribly rehearsed award show banter that included a guffaw where Raisman called Dionne “old” and Dionne told everybody to check out Raisman’s muscular legs in her very short dress. People in the crowd chuckled for any number of reasons. Mainly booze.

The resulting video clip which wasn’t possibly seen first hand by anybody on social media who would boldly enter the firestorm of social justice was quickly parsed as a body shaming moment. Old white sports guy, young something or other girl. National television. Raisman’s already cued the world into her weekly subjugation at the hands of the patriarchy constantly commenting on her physique. When all she wants to do is get through life as a freakishly tiny muscularly built woman in skin tight Spandex covering up to twenty percent of her body.

Raisman herself didn’t join the anti-Dionne ballyhoo on Twitter. It can’t possibly be out of her desire not to add a victimization moment to her bedpost notches. Assume the entire sixty second banter was poorly scripted garbage and she feels bad for the old guy with the enlarged prostate and multiple concussions. Though her finger had to be itching on that Twitter trigger.

Short dress, rape culture, sexual objectification, inappropriate male behavior. Make the aging hockey player resign from Uber. It was all there like a scrumptious PC buffet.
