Colin Kaepernick Using Reverse Psychology to Land a Job

June 21, 2017 | celebrity | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

Largely sub-par 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick remains unsigned by any NFL team this offseason. The Niners let him go either because the remaining years of his contract were dramatically overvalued, or because he’s a Black Lives Matter lightning rod. Likely both, though neither were admitted to by the organization.

Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem before holding the backup QB clipboard last season proved to be a large distraction for the already bumbling 49ers. Being benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert can test a man’s resolve. Kaepernick remained steadfast in his anti-police Tweets and public comments. It’s not entirely un-American to beat your lady. It is to repeatedly call the nation a racist slave master state. It’s all explained on the cheat sheets in Goodell’s back pocket.

Kaepernick’s divisive political pronouncements and massive afro have forced every sports writer to question whether he is being blackballed by the league this offseason. His shitty Quarterback Rating and starter money demands are a convenient way to end the discussion. Pete Carroll gave Kaepernick a workout with the Seahawks, then declared him an amazing guy with amazing talent, but not quite the right fit for his team. Pretty genius deke. And a big fuck you to the rest of the league. That’s Pete.

Kaepernick has continued to post negative cop comments making it certainly seem like he’s a true believer who doesn’t give a fuck about consequences. That’s the behavior of both heroes and assholes alike. Kaepernick’s making it nearly impossible for the league to find him a home to shut him up as a story. The NFL doesn’t handle easy situations well. This one’s complicated. Imagine the worst possible outcome and look for the League to pursue that course.
