I hope God is getting a royalty check from all of these rehab places using the power of his name to help recovering crack addicts. Darryl Strawberry is from an era where black men in sports weren’t afraid of being a little eccentric. Dennis Rodman had basketball. He dyed his hair almost every other game and ended up attempting to marry himself. Who’s really going to love you more than you love yourself? Was he crazy or was he was light years ahead of everyone else in thinking. He did end up in the pants of Carmen Electra if that says anything at all. Darryl Strawberry had baseball. He did drugs and banged broads in the clubhouse in-between innings. But today is a new day and Darryl is a new man. He says he would have never gotten rid of his addiction if it wasn’t for the big guy upstairs. Not the landlord threatening eviction in most likely his current low income housing situation thanks to blowing millions on blow, but God.
