Brie Larson Has Seen Suffering

Most people that claim to speak for all people tend to only have victimization stories involving themselves. It’s one of those things to look for when learning how to completely discount celebrity stories of Revenant like survival in their Brentwood estates.

Brie Larson has taken to be a women’s advocate. Ever since that time that guy looked in her a room and repeatedly raped her. That was a movie, but she learned the lines. It’s so damn similar.

Larson is among the twenty or so most prominent entertainers who cling to tales of patriarchal woe to align themselves with average women. The blatant pandering probably cost Hillary the election, but so worth it for a couple hundred social media likes from regular old gals on the bowling team.

Larson’s latest Twitter lament involves a TSA agent who asked for her phone number after she gave him a nod. Whether this really happened or not is beside the point. It’s allegorical. Like the bible, or as people asked to defend verse will tell you once the world neglects to explode on a given doomsday. A teachable moment.

I merely smiled at a TSA agent and he asked for my phone number. To live life as a woman is to live life on the defense.

Couple things. First, don’t put any crass behavior past a TSA agent. Rent-a-cops aren’t what they used to be back in the day when they confiscated all your weed at school and kept it for themselves. The bit about women all being Anne Franks awaiting Stormtroopers at the door lays it on a little thick. Not like he and his TSA buddies reenacted the game room scene from The Accused in the magnetometer. He asked for your phone number. Inappropriate, though you imagine if you’d smiled at the nation’s only hot TSA officer, maybe the Tweet never gets Tweeted.

What’s been lost in the nation is any sense of proportion. Social media in particular demands a complete lack of perspective. Everything is equally horrible if it contains the same amount of exclamation points.

Naturally, Larson baited trolls into discounting her peril so she could point out their vitriol as evidence of the struggle. It’s a convenient circle of illogic. Almost like debate. Akin to how Antifa honors Robert’s Rules of Order. It all makes sense in the vacuum chamber of Hollywood. The same chamber that said boo about Harvey Weinstein for decades, but calls out a TSA sad sack.
