Michael Phelps Doesn’t Understand How House Flipping Works

June 18, 2018 | celebrity | Elliot Wolf | 0 Comments

Michael Phelps isn’t above lighting up the dankest of nugs so I’m more than certain he’s a fan of South Park. Possibly, one night while higher than Katy Perry’s skirt at her concerts, the White People Renovating Houses episode came on and Phelps was instantly inspired. Meeting the only two qualifications of being white and also a homeowner, he decided that it was time to flip his house and stash the extra cash. That’s if someone is someone is silly enough to overpay for property in Arizona. He’s using his name and extremely large pool in the backyard as justification for the significant price increase.

After buying a $2.5 million mansion in Paradise Valley, Arizona, in 2015, Phelps is now selling it for a head-scratching $4.1 million.

Arizona just always seemed like one of those “please leave me alone” states. Not really a vacation destination on too many individual’s “places to visit before you die” list. There’s a giant hole in the ground. But then there are a bunch of those on Interstate 405 so that’s really not an incentive for a high rolling celebrity to leave Hollywood and purchase a home in Arizona. Maybe he’ll get the price he’s looking for and be able to move. Or maybe he’ll be the most successful man from Maryland who’s stuck feeling like a Phelps out of water in Arizona.
