Kiefer Sutherland has now begun his 48-day prison sentence after being arrested on September 25th for driving under the influence. He will also go on probation for 5 years. He was already on probation for a 2004 DUI arrest. This was his fourth DUI related arrest. Page Six says:
He was charged with DUI after being pulled over in Hollywood on September 25 and was found to be driving while three times over the legal limit. Kiefer had a previous drunk-driving conviction in 2004 and was arrested for DUI in 1989 and 1993.
He will be behind bars for the Christmas and New Year's holidays and will serve the entire 48-day sentence.
…Sutherland will be serving his sentence in Glendale through the regular inmate program, with no special privileges.
I like Kiefer but this is his fourth DUI so fuck him. If you're driving with a .24 BAL you might as well just drop a cement block on the gas pedal and fire a gun out the back of your car. It was apparent to officers at the scene that Sutherland was drunk, and when tested, his blood alcohol level was almost twice the legal limit. People.com says:
His attorney met with city prosecutors ahead of his scheduled arraignment next week. The Los Angeles City Attorney's office is recommending to the judge that Sutherland be sentenced to 48 days in jail – 30 days for the DUI conviction, and an additional 18 days for violating his probation.

48 days sounds like a lot. Thank god he's a celebrity, or else he would really have to do that. When all is said and done, whatever little girl runs the jails in LA will get all doe-eyed and star struck and cave in. Bad got badder for Keifer with the news that the judge hearing his case will be Judge Michael Sauer, the same judge who sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days for driving on a suspended license. Sutherland was already on probation for a 2004 DUI arrest. On that occasion, he had a staggering .22 blood alcohol level. .08 is the legal limit. People.com says:

Wow, if this judge gave Paris 45 days for driving on a suspended license, Sutherland is fucked. What he's done over the years is much much worse than what Paris did. The judge might just throw him in a damn volcano or at the very least sentence him to life on Monster Island.

Police sources tell TMZ 40-year-old Sutherland was pulled over around 1:35 AM PST on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly. Sutherland was at the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub earlier that evening. He was booked at 4:09 AM and released at 5:42 AM on $25,000 bail. According to the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. website, the actor is 5'10" and weighs 150 lbs.
Kiefer gets fucked up all the time (like in that old video), and he doesn't really seem to mind, and people don't generally stop being alcoholics over night, so this isn't really very surprising. What was surprising was when it turned out that model was only 15. And a boy. Yeah, I did not see that coming.
