AVATAR - finished the weekend with an opening gross of $77M in the US and $165M overseas for a weekend total of $242M, exceeding expectations thanks to positive reviews and word of mouth. Also getting rave reviews is the guacamole I made for tonight’s party. (variety)

10.24.2008 WILL FERREL WAS BACK ON SNL

Last nights "Saturday Night Live" election special featured the triumphant return of Will Ferrell as President Bush and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. And by "triumphant", I mean "predictable" and "boring". I guess I'm the only one on earth who thinks Tina Feys Sarah Palin impression sucks. I mean they do kinda look alike in pictures, I guess, but on the show it just looks like Tina Fey in glasses with her hair up. Which is exactly what she looked like anyway. It would be like if Kirsten Dunst did an impression of a baby-toothed goblin. It's hard to know when it starts or stops.
