Brian over on the always great Redban.com sent this link yesterday showing Pauly Shore in a comedy club in Odessa, Texas. Now, after reading the words "Pauly Shore" and then the words "Odessa, Texas" was there any ever doubt that the video was gonna show Pauly Shore getting charged on stage by some drunk cowboy. I hope there wasn't. Because that’s what it shows. And how does Pauly diffuse the situation? With his hilarious jokes and a little pinch of magic, of course! Wait, no. No that’s not right. I meant to say he gets knocked the eff out.

Man, comedy clubs are dangerous places these days! Some people just can’t take a joke. I think it would have been funnier if Pauly had done a kung fu and kicked the crap out of that lard butt in the cowboy hat, tho. I can’t stand Pauly but it would have been funny to see his scrawny self whoop ass on a big drunk goober.
OMG, I love the homage to “Friday”. And…sad to say…I love “Encino Man”. It may be Pauly Shore’s fondness for *eating at the pumps*, but it’s probably just Brendan Frasier in a loin cloth, talking about gazongas and moldy cheese. *sigh* I miss the 80’s.

It looks like his head was already moving back before the punch hit. That, coupled with security’s inaction, suggests to me that it was staged.
If anyone thinks that punch connected you are a complete idiot. He also would have been knocked out for about 2 seconds. Most people who get knocked out don’t jump back up and run away.
