POSH BANS SKINNY GIRLS

February 1, 2007 | celebrity | editor | 0 Comments

Victoria Beckham has issued a decree banning size zero models from promoting her new fashion label, even though that would mean she can't model her own clothes.  Beckham – who actually did quite well designing a line for Rock and Republic jeans –  only wants to hire girls who have more curves than she does because they look more "natural".   A source says:

“Victoria wants to give out a positive image that you don't have to be ultra skinny to look good.  Many of the models on the catwalk make young girls feel insecure about their bodies. Victoria doesn't want to be accused of giving young girls a complex about their image and putting pressure on them to be as skinny as her."

Beckham has hired Brazilian Daniela Sarahyba to be the face of the line because she is known as being slightly more curvy.  Daniela's website describes her as a "voluptuous goddess" with "a perfectly sculpted body with the curves and meat in all the right places".  Keep in mind, this is Daniela Sarahyba.  This girl here.  "Voluptuous" and "natural".  Also keep in mind that at one point Posh was considering a plus sized label, so I have to believe that everyone involved here is just being sarcastic.  Although it's entirely possible she doesn't even know what 'plus' means. She might just think they're fortified with vitamins.
