Both the National Enquirer and Star magazine are reporting this week that a dangerously emaciated Nicole Richie is back in rehab to get treatment for an eating disorder and substance abuse. They say she checked in on May 11, went through several days of detox, then began an out-patient treatment. The mags say:
The report alleges that the 25-year-old Simple Life star, weighing only 83 lbs., checked into the Beau Monde Treatment Center in Corona Del Mar, California on May 11. The publications claim that in addition to treatment for anorexia, Richie is receiving care for an addiction to pills.
As word of the upcoming cover stories broke, a rep for Richie immediately issued a denial. Us.com reports:
Nicole Richie’s rep is denying reports that the Simple Life star has entered a rehabilitative treatment center.
"She is not in rehab,” the rep tells Usmagazine.com. “She is at home in Glendale. Sobriety is an ongoing process but she is sober."
Unfortunately that denial doesn't address what the NE and Star said. They said she was back home too. They also said a house was just a building, but a home is filled with love. Oh Star, always so sentimental.
