Mom Battles Rape Culture Steamroller

August 30, 2016 | WTF | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

Everybody has a group these days. Including moms of college sons accused of campus rapeFamilies Advocating for Campus Equality (FACE). Because mothers of boys being railroaded by date rape charges at Universities bound by Title IX funding are starting to rethink the overall health of the rape culture mantra.

According to the White House, the Department of Education, and every Huffington Post caucasian 20-something Sarah Lawrence graduated female editor, every boy is a rapist. Past, present or future. Jezebel can pre-cog that shit from their Soul Cycle spin classes bitching about not being paid the same as the guy still working at the office while they’re working out. The bleed has been right on down to campus administrations no longer bound by criminal procedural standards when a young man stands accused by his date of lacking consent. Guilt has been replaced by “responsibility”, a vague term defined simply as likely to have happened. Stalin maintained a higher standard for Siberian work camp exile during his purges.

There are cretin males on every campus who require punishment and containment. It’s not anywhere close to the twenty to twenty five percent of men being called out by political and media backed rhetoric. The boys in the falsely accused middle are being tossed out with the rape culture bathwater. Expelled, labeled sex offenders, ostracized, all without any due process or right to cross-examine accusers.

Sherry Warner-Seefeld, co-founder of FACE, high school teacher, and mom of a son kicked out of University of North Dakota because her son’s girlfriend accused him of nonconsensual sex shortly after he broke up with her, has come to an awakening:

This idea has taken hold that we live in a rape culture, that we’re telling our young men it’s okay to rape. I’ve taught a lot of male students, and that’s just not true. We don’t live in a rape culture. My dad isn’t a rapist. My grandfather isn’t a rapist. Those young men don’t think it’s okay to rape.

It makes it difficult when you have this bugle call, the war call, ‘we have a rape culture.’ I liken it to McCarthyism. We’re so certain that all these people are raping women on college campuses and now if anybody says, ‘that person did it,’ all of a sudden it’s an automatic guilt. And what a horrific thing that has turned out to be.

Political correctness is a laughing matter. Until it ruins people. One by one, or en masse. Pushing for the rights of some against the deserved rights of others is hardly civil. Rounding up the Usual Suspects doesn’t work when the Usual Suspects are everybody born with a dick. It’s never been clear how witch hunters sleep at night. Find a better way, idiots.

Kudos to Fred Barbash of the Washington Post for real journalism. It’s very nearly almost dead.
