PETA has thrown it’s entire animal rights weight behind protesting the saccharin family film, a Dog’s Purpose, after somebody sold TMZ a video of an animal trainer shoving a shepherd into a water stunt during production. TMZ promptly titled the clip, Shepherd Abuse Video. PETA knows full well the dog having a bad day at work moment is barely abusive at that, but a whimpering dog is a solid political vehicle. A bird without a beak mostly makes people hungry for KFC.
Amblin Entertainment canceled last week’s Los Angeles premiere for fear of animal right’s idiots with weapons. People who worked on the film are scrambling to distance themselves from the film like it’s an uncovered photo of them in SS garb at Dachau. PETA’s threatening to protest any theater this upcoming week that dares to release the film. That includes provocative signs, fake blood, and Pamela Anderson dressed as a dog who prefers low cut tops and men with verified real estate holdings. Presume the film will be quickly pulled from the theaters.
Never tell a few opportunistic protestors with a social media correct message they can’t change the world. Bet that shepherd feels like an asshole now. Way to kill a movie. Call PETA when you’re not eating in six months and see if they take your call.
