Katie Homles stayed silent

Katie Holmes did uphold the Scientology doctrine of a silent birth when delivering her first child Tuesday night, according to new published reports. The medical staff administering the labor was also ordered to remain silent, even to the point that delivery nurses had to use hand signals to tell Katie when to push. Katie was helped by having fiancee Tom Cruise at her side, and by an epidural, a very common pain killer injected into the lower back. Cruise apparently did not object to the epidural, even though he has loudly condemned the use of prescription drugs in the past. A source says:

“Tom was determined to make Katie as comfortable as possible. He was holding her hand and stroking her face to soothe her during the delivery
