Empire has a new cover story on ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, and in addition to some new details about Bane, they interview director Christopher Nolan who revealed that, while ‘The Dark Knight’ began almost right where ‘Batman Begins’ left off, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ skips ahead 8 years.
“It’s really all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne’s story. We left him in a very precarious place. Perhaps surprisingly for some people, our story picks up quite a bit later, eight years after The Dark Knight. So he’s an older Bruce Wayne; he’s not in a great state.”
So if you’re sitting there confused and wondering what happened to the last 8 years, now you know what Lindsay feels like during those rare moments when she isn’t drunk.
‘The Dark Knight Rises’ filmed some more scenes out in public this weekend, including some with Anne Hathaway in her full Catwoman outfit, complete with little kitty ears. So part of Christopher Nolans “realistic” Batman world now includes villains who but their outfit at Hot Topic.
Warner Brothers will use it’s biggest franchise ever to kick off two of its other premiere titles when it runs the first trailers for both ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ in front of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ when it opens this Friday. And not only that but Warners has released the first poster for the Batman sequel as well (full size copy here). I guess it shows Gotham crumbling because of something the bad guys did. But I don’t feel sorry for them because when they built their buildings into the shape of a bat, they had to know that would be bad luck.
As far as I know Warner Brothers has never released the first 6 minutes of "The Dark Knight" online, even though they showed it in front of "I Am Legend" on IMAX. There was one shaky camcorder version of this on YouTube but now Iklipz has one that’s better. Even though the quality here is ungreat, the clip is awesome. The only way this could be any better is if it was projected onto Megans Fox's naked ass.
Dominoes Pizza has an exclusive online trailer for "The Dark Knight", for some inexplicable reason, and it actually has quite a bit of new footage. Unfortunately there’s still no sign that Ben Affleck is in this. That guy just can't make a bad movie.
