BRITNEY WILL PERFORM SUNDAY NIGHT

The worst kept secret in Hollywood has now been officially confirmed, and Britney Spear will perform at the MTV Music Video Awards this Sunday night, live from Las Vegas. TMZ says:

TMZ has confirmed Brit Brit WILL perform at this year's 2007 Video Music Awards in Las Vegas … MTV has issued a press release, announcing Britney will open the show by performing her new single "Gimme More" … MTV also confirms TMZ's favorite "magician" Criss Angel is in on the act as well.

Woof. I can't believe she's doing "Gimme More". That song is f'n awful. She always sounds like she just woke up. Not that it even matters. Britney is only interesting as a train wreck. Superheroes could come save us from robots and aliens and pirates and Godzilla on stage behind her and I'd still flip around to see what else was on. Housing starts spur third quarter growth? Hmm, interesting….
