BRITNEY SPEARS IS ABOVE THE LAW, PART 6

January 3, 2008 | celebrity | editor | 0 Comments

Britney Spears was scheduled to give a deposition yesterday in her ongoing child custody case with Kevin Federline, but of course she skipped it, for the fifth time in a row.   Less than three weeks ago, she claimed she was too sick to attend her fourth court ordered deposition, even though she was seen out the night before and the night after.  This is just part of the reason why her attorneys have quit, once again, forcing Britney to find new council.  People says:

Her latest lawyer, Sorrell Trope, filed a request Wednesday to withdraw from the singer's custody case, court documents show."There has been a breakdown in communications between (Spears) and Trope & Trope (law firm) making further representation of her interests impossible," says the document.Trope was Spears's third lawyer in her ongoing battle with her ex-husband.Her first attorney, Laura Wasser, resigned from her case in September shortly after Spears's divorce from Federline was finalized.Spears then hired the firm Freid & Goldsman, but their relationship ended within days.

I don't know why they want this deposition so bad anyway.  Do they really think they're gonna get any answers?  You might as well deposition your dog about why he ate your slippers.  She'll show up sprinkled with powdered sugar and they'll ask about her kids and she'll say, "whaaaat, I don't even have kids.  Well, other than the little fat one.  Jerry?  Jason?  Jason.  I think his name is Jason.  Oh and there's another one.  And the twins.  I don't have twins?  No, sure I do.  Really?  Well then … huh, that's weird."
