Lindsay Lohan really wants to get out of jail

September 25, 2010 | celebrity | editor | 0 Comments

The best thing about Lindsay Lohan being taken into custody today is that, this time, the pussy LA County Sheriff can’t let her out early. As People magazine reported…

“Ms. Lohan cannot be released early because this isn’t a jail sentence,” L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore says. “She’s being held by court order until her hearing on Oct. 22. She will be held in the same conditions as her last stay, in a keep-away unit.”

There’s only one possible way for her to get out before October 22nd, and that would be if the judge changed his mind. And so that’s what Lindsay is hoping he’ll do. Radar says…

Lohan’s high-powered lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, entered Judge Elden Fox’s courtroom shortly after 1:30 pm PT, we have confirmed.
“Lindsay’s lawyer is asking that bail be set. Shawn Chapman Holley contends that Judge Fox must grant Lohan bail pending the probation violation hearing on October 22nd.”

From what I’ve read, it was unusual for the judge to do this but he had every right to do it, and he did it because she failed her drug test almost immediately. If she were free she’d have another month to do whatever she wanted. He didn’t lock her up to be a dick, he did it so she could start the treatment she obviously needs.

Which, um, is what I want to. Let’s do what’s best for Lindsay, I say. And if that means putting her in jail, well then by golly, I guess that’s the choice I have to live with.
