Sugar Sweet With Lies

September 13, 2016 | WTF | Lex Jurgen | 0 Comments

Somebody’s footing the bills for most scientific research. It’s never a bad idea to take a peek. A new medical historical study shows that the sugar industry heavily sponsored Harvard medical dietary research in the 1960’s to blame fat, as opposed to refined sugar, as the primary culprit in rising heart disease rates. It’s slightly harder to get away with blatant payoffs today, though Coke and candy companies continue to sponsor dubious studies concluding that sugar makes kids health and alert and more likely to become astrophysicists.

In 2016 most people are now aware that sugar makes you in the very least, super fat and diabetic. They simply don’t care. Sugar is their primary drug. Perhaps more disturbing is the fact there is literally nowhere to go for legitimate research results. Not that every single public study is corrupted by politics and funding connections, or that every private institution study is likely to come up with the results positive to their benefactors, it’s just that this is the case most of the time. Objective results tend to correlate highly with the money.

You’re left entirely with common sense that needs to inform you that soda is shitty for you and maybe that smoke coming out of your exhaust pipe is going somewhere. Somewhere between jumping frenzied sky is falling bandwagons and utter denial of all scientific studies conducted by reasonably reputable outlets lies a working truth. More important is understanding you probably don’t know shit, unless you’re the actual scientist with Hubba Bubba executives trying to drive you off the road at night. Consider using the words “I think” to preface your conjecture and mentor a super fat kid and make him do push ups and God will let you into heaven.
