Carolina Dumps Their Single Gender Bathrooms for More Basketball

All politics are local. Also, incredibly inane, boring, and cynical. Last year North Carolina passed a bill that said you have to piss in the public restroom aligned with your birth certificate gender. This was the so-called tranny ban. Though first day of Kindergarteners remember it more simply as Miss Harvey explaining that the boys tinkle here and girls tinkle here.

The LGBT lobby might be carrying “T” on its coattails, but that tiny fraction of one percent of the population is riding politically high. The gay lobby can apply fierce pressure on corporate bodies. That’s the value in also being wealthy professionals. LGBT activists lobbied the NCAA to boycott North Carolina until they allowed people once again to choose their own public toilet gender. The college sports league pulled right out of North Carolina, denying the Tar Heel state their most beloved pastime. Also the shit ton of money that goes with. Anything to keep people from asking the NCAA questions about ripping off thousands of poor black kids for billions in sports revenue annually.

Popular tide in North Carolina quickly turned on the bathroom bill which was overridden by the new Governor with a piece of legislation that both Christian groups and gay rights groups seem to hate equally. It’s half a page long and impossible to understand but has already been hand delivered to the NCAA with a box of See’s candy and an apology written on a rainbow flag. 

NCAA President Mark Emmert told reporters Thursday that the organization’s board of governors will have to meet to discuss whether North Carolina’s actions are a “sufficient” enough change to schedule events in the state going forward.
