The Book of Bush

Nothing wakes one up faster than a nice cup of entitlement in the morning. Please name one person that is more qualified to pen a book on American political controversies than a pair of twins whose daddy was president at one point. The only twins I enjoy when it comes to literature is Playboy magazine. They’re usually double D belonging to some brunette bunny who can keep her mouth closed about commenting on the climate of American politics. But seeing that most younger American learn politics on Netflix, House of Cards, the Bush book actually might sell out.

The book, Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life, is due out in October.“It’s hard to think back to when politics were friendly,” says Jenna. Neither sister is affiliated with a political party, and they say their personal beliefs don’t always align with their dad’s or their grand pap’s. Barbara Pierce Bush has supported Planned Parenthood in the past. For whatever reason, their shift away from their family’s agenda seems more sincere than some presidential daughters out there.

Somehow this book is going to be about women lifting each other up. Proud owners of first world problems, Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Bush Hager, plan on helping disenfranchised underprivileged women with their words of advice. I’m not sure if the trans women of America can really relate to the trials and tribulations of having dinner reservations at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant pushed back by 15 minutes. Maybe Caitlyn Jenner would understand where you come from. But it’s hard trying to get a grasp on the best way to help with things you’ve never experienced first hand. Almost like if two middle aged male producers attempted to capture the perspective of prepubescent girls to remake a Lord Of The Flies movie. Wait a minute.
