On March 26th, Richie Sambora caught the eye of the Laguna Beach police department just before 11:00 PM. He was observed driving erratically in a black Hummer and pulled over. He failed numerous field sobriety tests and was detained for DUI. Eventually it would be revealed that he had a .13 BAL, well over the .08 legal limit. The most awesome part of course was that his 10-year-old daughter was in the car with him at the time. Luckily for him, he did all this in California, where prosecutors do absolutely nothing. TMZ has learned Richie Sambora just plea bargained his DUI case. He pled no contest to driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher. The driving under the influence charge was dismissed. And, prosecutors did NOT file child endangerment charges.
Although the brass at the Laguna Beach Police Dept. recommended that prosecutors file child endangerment charges, we're told the rank and file cops felt the evidence didn't support the charge. Prosecutors agreed.
Umm … really? Driving drunk with a kid in the car doesn't equal "child endangerment"? Was the kid wrapped in bubble wrap and pillows and floating on a cloud, or is it maybe that the cops and prosecutors in California are star fuckers who do absolutely nothing. Golly, I wonder which one it is. At this point, Miley Cyrus could sell enriched plutonium to Al Qaeda and at best, she’d have to do a PSA about some seeing some cute guy at a party and then he smokes and now he's gross. Either that or something where she reveals that playing by the rules makes everyone a winner.
A little over a year ago, pictures started to circulate showing Denise Richards making out with and straddling Richie Sambora while the two vacationed in Hawaii. Which was noteworthy because Richards was married to Charlie Sheen, with whom she has two kids, and Sambora was married to Heather Locklear, who was best friends with Denise Richards. So, they wrecked two relationships and one family and one friendship, but at least they did it for a love that will last into eternity. Oh wait never mind.
After dating for more than a year, Denise Richards has split with Richie Sambora, Denise's rep tells In Touch exclusively. Her rep says, "Denise and Richie broke up two months ago," but according to a friend of the actress, "they didn't want to make it public because they lived through public divorces and it was very painful." The couple had been drifting apart for some time but remain close.
Well at least they can stay busy with work and hobbies. In the coming months, she has more stars of VH1 to blow, while his future projects include buying Aloe Vera and struggling to breath after getting the mail.
